Our WINNIPEG BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a BUILDING MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR to join our team!
What You Will Do:
The Building Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the overall upkeep, basic repair, and safety of assigned commercial properties. This role performs general maintenance tasks, supports seasonal site needs, and serves as a central point of contact, working closely with internal departments and external vendors and contractors to coordinate building services, repairs, and inspections, ensuring facilities are well-maintained year-round. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
Conduct regular preventative inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively; coordinate with contractors as required.
Complete building upkeep and support renovation projects, including painting, repairs, cleaning, and fixture replacement.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues related to facilities and equipment.
Provide on-call support for after-hours emergencies as required.
Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring work aligns with agreed scope, timelines, and service standards
Demonstrate effective communication and cooperative behaviour with supervisors, customers, and coworkers
Follow supervisor instructions in accordance with company procedures
Maintain reliable schedule adherence and punctuality
Coordinate and monitor contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with site standards
Maintain clean and safe work environments, including seasonal tasks such as carpet cleaning and
Manage exterior maintenance and groundskeeping, including lawn care, debris removal, snow clearing, and salting
Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
High school diploma or other high school equivalency certificate
2-3 years of general maintenance or facilities experience
Experience working in a large warehouse or industrial environment.
2-3 years of experience coordinating vendors/projects
Ability to successfully complete a background check as part of the hiring process
A valid driver’s license and a recent driver’s abstract are required at hire, demonstrating no major infractions and minimal minor infractions, as defined by Company standards
Comfortable working independently and acting as a keyholder for the facility
Excellent time-management, prioritization & communication skills with proven ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
Demonstrated proficiency in computer systems and standard office software
Experience in driving a forklift is preferred but not required
