Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Adjustments Associate to join our Billing Adjustments team.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise credit and debit memos to correct billing errors and executing accurate invoice adjustments, including debits, credits, and re-bills. You will balance strict adherence to division policies with a strong focus on resolving customer concerns efficiently to maintain revenue integrity and ensure total customer satisfaction.
You will be part of a dynamic, supportive team reporting directly to the Billing Adjustments Associate Manager, dedicated to maintaining high-quality financial data, driving root-cause analysis, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1 (Main Responsibility): Research, analyze, and process low-criticality invoice adjustments—including quantity and price corrections—by comparing billed invoices against work execution data within our internal billing system to deliver accurate re-bills.
Responsibility 2 (Collaborate): Collaborate with Customer Delivery Experts, Business Development Experts, and other internal stakeholders to clarify billing histories and explain processed adjustments, fostering strong cross-functional alignment and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility 3 (Compliance): Ensure compliance with organizational standardization objectives and division policies by conducting root-cause analyses on billing issues and executing peer audits before any financial adjustments are posted to prevent revenue impact.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in financial data analysis, billing adjustments, or transactional customer service.
Strong knowledge of complex billing systems, invoice auditing procedures, and contracts, alongside advanced reading comprehension and excellent keyboarding skills.
Proven ability in multitasking, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis, with the agility to adapt quickly to changing procedural requirements.
[Insert Education/Certification, e.g., A high school diploma or degree in Finance/Business] combined with strong interpersonal abilities and professional oral and written communication skills.
What We Offer (Benefits)
Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with experience.
Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement plans.
Flexible work options/alternative work options to support work–life balance.
Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.
Paid time off and holidays.
