Identify, assess, and prioritise EHS risks; develop and deliver risk reduction plans that prevent incidents and minimise business disruption.
Plan and deliver the site EHS audit programme (internal/external), track corrective actions to closure, and verify effectiveness.
Monitor and analyse EHS performance (leading and lagging indicators), provide clear insights to leaders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills, lessons learned, and ongoing improvements to site readiness.
Support site business continuity and operational risk planning (including facility security considerations where applicable), ensuring risks are understood and mitigated.
Partner with operational leaders and teams to embed safe ways of working, strengthen safety leadership, and build accountability at all levels.
Manage EHS-related cost avoidance/value initiatives through practical, risk-based recommendations and sound business cases.
About you:

Strong working knowledge of relevant EHS legislation and regulator expectations, with the ability to evidence compliance.
Demonstrated capability to assess risk, set priorities, and implement practical controls that reduce incidents.
Hands-on experience planning and delivering EHS audits/inspections and driving corrective actions to completion.
Comfortable using EHS data and trends to shape site plans, focus effort, and brief leadership clearly.
Experience building and maintaining emergency preparedness and response arrangements (plans, drills, reviews).
Strong stakeholder management skills—able to influence leaders, coach teams, and challenge unsafe practices constructively.
Skilled in managing contractor safety and high-risk work through effective planning, permits, and verification.
Confident communicator who can provide clear technical advice and training across a busy, multi-department site.
Integrity-driven, organised, and resilient, with the judgement to balance operational needs and risk reduction.
