Job Description
Your Role
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Applying strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, MAC and IP Addressing, and core transmission protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP) to support and maintain network infrastructure
- Utilizing network management tools such as SNMP and RMON, alongside performance measurement tools like iPerf, TamoSoft, and iChariot to monitor and optimize network performance
- Working with application protocols including Telnet, SSH, FTP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, NTP and SNTP to support connectivity and network service delivery
- Performing packet capture and traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently
- Supporting the configuration and troubleshooting of switching technologies, including VLANs, Trunking, Spanning Tree, Link Aggregation, and 802.1x Authentication across Layer 2/Layer 3 environments
Your Profile
- Solid foundational understanding of networking concepts including Bridging, Switching, Routing, and Ethernet/Fiber Transmission Technology, gained through 1-2 years of hands-on experience or equivalent academic background
- Familiarity with Layer 2/Layer 3 switching concepts such as Unicast/Multicast/Broadcast, Quality of Service (QoS), and Discovery Protocols (CDP, LLDP, Bonjour) is a plus
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to diagnose network faults and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment, with a proactive approach to upskilling and staying current with evolving network technologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and international teams, with good communication skills in both Spanish and English
