Job Description

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (Weekend Option) manages respiratory therapy for both inpatients and outpatients.


Essential Job Function

  • Performs all respiratory duties as assigned.
  • Monitors patients for any adverse events and communicates effectively with the healthcare team about any changes or concerns.


Education

  • Required: HS Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of accredited RT program


Experience

  • Required: 3 years of experience working in acute clinical care, or completion of equivalent acute care clinical rotations


Licensure/Certification/Listing

  • Required: Certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a RRT. Must be licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as a CRT or RRT; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
