Job Description:
This position develops and automates data processes and business workflows using Python, SQL, and AI-assisted development tools. He/She builds applications and internal tools that streamline existing processes, improve decision-making, and enable more efficient use of data across the organization. This position works with Pricing, Sales, and Operations to translate business needs into automated solutions, including analytics tools, statistical models, and pricing optimization frameworks. The role is suited to a candidate early in their career who already holds a strong analytical foundation and has built and shipped real applications.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and maintains Python-based applications and internal tools to support analytics, pricing, and operational workflows.
- Builds and deploys interactive applications using Streamlit to support internal stakeholders (dashboards, tools, and decision-support systems).
- Automates existing business processes using Python, SQL, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex-based workflows).
- Writes and optimizes SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from enterprise systems.
- Develops, validates, and maintains statistical, forecasting, and pricing optimization models to improve profitability and decision-making.
- Applies statistical techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and support business recommendations.
- Integrates data from multiple sources to enable automated and efficient workflows.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency through automation.
- Translates business requirements into technical solutions with a focus on usability, scalability, and impact.
- Tests, debugs, and enhances applications to ensure performance, reliability, and accuracy.
- Documents solutions and provides support to business users to ensure adoption and effective use.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business objectives and operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Strong Python programming skills with demonstrated experience building and shipping data tools or applications
- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries for data extraction and analysis
- Foundational knowledge of statistics (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing, model validation) that the candidate can already apply independently
- Experience building statistical, forecasting, or optimization models, with an understanding of when each method applies
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) to accelerate development
- Experience with Streamlit or similar frameworks (Dash, Flask, etc.)
- A portfolio of work the candidate can demonstrate and walk through (a deployed application, a tool with real users, or a substantive code project)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into automated solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity with optimization methods (e.g., linear/integer programming, solvers)
- Exposure to AI/LLM concepts, including prompt-based workflows or basic agent implementations
- Experience working with large datasets in enterprise environments (SQL Server)
- Background in analytics, pricing, operations, or logistics environments
- Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar).
