Job: GSUP-General Superintendent- Construction (Operations)

As a General Superintendent, you will provide day‑to‑day leadership and oversight of all landscape construction field operations. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, schedules, and budgets. Working closely with project managers, superintendents, and the construction leadership team, the General Superintendent plays a key role in driving field performance, developing crews, and maintaining consistent quality across all job sites. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep field experience who excels at coordinating people, processes, and execution in a fast‑paced landscaping environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all field construction operations across multiple landscape construction projects
Provide direct leadership, coaching, and support to superintendents, foremen, and field crews
Ensure projects are executed according to plans, specifications, schedules, and company quality standards
Monitor daily and weekly production, labor utilization, equipment usage, and job progress
Enforce safety standards and company safety programs, promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance
Coordinate closely with project management on schedules, resource planning, and issue resolution
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and field meetings to ensure quality, productivity, and accountability
Assist in resolving field challenges related to labor, subcontractors, materials, and logistics
Help identify opportunities for operational improvements, standardization, and best practices
Support training, onboarding, and development of field leadership and construction crews
Requirements:
Significant experience in landscape construction, site development, or related construction operations
Proven leadership experience managing field teams, including superintendents, foremen, or crews
Strong working knowledge of landscape construction practices such as grading, irrigation, hardscape, drainage, and planting
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritizations simultaneously
Strong understanding of construction schedules, production tracking, and labor planning
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and accountability
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field staff, project managers, and leadership
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly between job sites
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience working in a multi‑site or high‑volume landscape construction environment
Familiarity with construction scheduling, reporting, and field management tools
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound, timely decisions in the field
Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance requirements
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Experience mentoring and developing future superintendents and field leaders
Desire to grow into broader construction leadership roles over time
