Job Description
Essential Job Function:
- Performs complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body parts.
- Reviews and assesses patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.
- Operates and maintains advanced MRI equipment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure precise and reliable imaging results.
- Collaborates with medical professionals during MRI procedures, providing real-time imaging support to ensure accurate positioning and optimal imaging quality.
- Records and documents all MRI scans and associated information in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verifying charges and addressing discrepancies for smooth workflow.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program:
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT(MR), ARMRIT(MR)ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT(MR) acceptable; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross, or AHA Healthcare Provider.
