Job Description

Your mission

Key Responsibilities
Product Configuration Management
  • Establish and maintain product configuration baselines for aircraft systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Manage Engineering Change Proposals, Orders, and Requests  from approval to implementation.
  • Control engineering drawings, specifications, technical data packages, and product documentation releases.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials, parts lists, and product structure hierarchies.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, design data, test records, and as-built configurations.
 
Change Management & Control
  • Lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). Evaluate proposed changes for technical impact, cost, schedule, certification, and regulatory implications.
  • Coordinate change implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and maintenance organizations.
  • Manage engineering deviations and approvals.
  • Track efficiency of changes across units.
 
Aviation Regulatory Compliance & Certification
  • Ensure configuration management processes comply with aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements.
  • Support FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority certification activities, including compliance reports.
  • Maintain conformity records to support continued airworthiness.
  • Provide support for audits, internal and external configuration management assessments, and all required documentation for these activities.
 
Systems & Tools Management
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management system (e.g. Teamcenter).
  • Integrate configuration data with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) for manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Utilize requirements management tools (e.g. Polarion) to maintain traceability.
  • Generate configuration reports, metrics, and dashboards for program management.
 
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, flight test, certification, and program management teams.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on configuration requirements and changes.
  • Support manufacturing with As Designed and As-Built configuration management.
 
Competencies & Duties

  • Compliance according to ANAVIA’ employment contract, compliance with company’ safety instructions and employee’ safety requirements, compliance with employers’ quality manual, work instructions and corresponding process specifications and instructions.

Your profile

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience: Proven experience managing product configurations for aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, or aerospace systems. Hands-on experience with engineering change processes and Configuration Control Boards a must. Minimum 3 years of configuration management experience in the aerospace or aviation industry preferred. Experience supporting aviation certification programs (FAA/EASA) a plus.
  • Skills: Foundational knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and best practices. Knowledge of engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.5, ISO standards) a must. Proficiency with PLM and ERP systems integration for BOM management is a must. Working understanding aircraft systems, structures, avionics, and propulsion systems a must. Understanding of aviation regulations, a plus. Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools preferred.
  • Communication: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Language: Good language skills in English (oral and written). German desirable.
  • Eligibility: Swiss or EU citizens only.
  • Location: On-site in Näfels | Bilten, Switzerland.
