Job Description
Position Summary
The Buyer is responsible for managing the supply chain of raw materials required for plant production, ensuring compliance with KGS policies while maintaining optimal inventory levels and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage purchase orders and ensure timely supplier confirmation and delivery
Execute MRP actions (pull-in, push-out, cancellations) through effective supplier negotiation
Monitor supplier delivery commitments and expedite materials to avoid shortages or production line downtime
Analyze excess and obsolete inventory and implement reduction strategies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the ERP system (items and purchase orders)
Release invoices for payment and ensure compliance with on-time payment metrics
Collaborate with the Quality department to resolve supplier issues
Drive continuous improvement with suppliers (cost, MOQ, MPQ, lead time)
Track materials from shipment through receipt and invoice payment
Ensure compliance with departmental KPIs and the skill matrix
Participate in EHS programs and strictly follow safety procedures
Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, and risks
Develop at least 2 Kaizen ideas and 2 productivity projects per year
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Field of study: Industrial Engineering, International Business, or related
Experience: Minimum 3 years in purchasing or supply chain
Language: English proficiency (written and spoken, 80% or higher)

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Oracle
