Instructional Assistant Mild/Mod I PT - Highly Qualified (Title I School)
Job Description
Applicant must be highly qualified. This would include one of the following:
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university; or
- 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or
- Pass the ParaPro Assessment
Applicant must be able to teacher in individual and small group settings. Applicant must be able to work with supervising teacher to develop targeted activities to meet IEP goals for special education students. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively, collaborate, and foster positive relationships with students.
Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.
