- The principles, practices, methods and state-of-the-art techniques of real and personal property valuation for assessment purposes.
- Laws, rules, and regulations governing the assessment of real and personal property.
- Perform difficult and complex property assessments and re-assessments in the field to procure data for assessment purposes.
- Plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate personnel.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with property owners, city officials, and the general public.
- Prepare and present reports for the general public, the press and as an expert witness.
Connecticut Municipal Assessor II certification or Certified Assessment Evaluator certification may be substituted in lieu of the education provided above.
