Summary/objective:
A Digital Media Marketer, or Community Manager, oversees a company’s interactions with the public through implementing content strategies on social media platforms. Their duties include analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online.

(Focus is on creating/building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame).
Essential functions:
- Implement brand strategy and collaboration on projects while delegating to Social Media Support, as applicable.
- Ensuring branding consistency across all digital efforts, delivering a cohesive and impactful online presence.
- Implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track digital progress and ensure timely plan adjustments and successful outcomes.
- Overseeing the development of creative campaigns that captivate our audience and align with our brand vision.
- Leading content creation efforts across various media channels (web, social, paid partnerships, etc.) to engage our target audience.
- Reviewing social media plans for assigned brands, offering valuable feedback and insights to optimize our online strategy.
- Collaborating with the Distribution Manager to identify the specific needs of our filmmakers, aligning digital efforts to enhance their success.
- Develop marketing materials for filmmaker presentations, campaign reports, and digital performance reports.
- Identifying opportunities to improve tools and processes, including the utilization of AI.
- Attending larger department meetings to identify KPIs, share team success, and provide cross-team support.
- Under the mentorship of the Digital Media Team Lead and under the direction of the Distribution Manager:
- develop and plan social media marketing campaigns for multiple brands
- Create and maintain a regular social media posting schedule.
- Create and post unique social media content consistent with intended audience and brand ‘voice’
- Responsible for the success of all organic posts on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
- Stay up to date on algorithms, best practices, current social media trends, etc. for each platform.
- Grow our audience and increase engagement to best achieve set KPIs.
- Use data to analyze ongoing trends, determine what’s working, what’s not, and reinforce accordingly.
- Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.

Competencies:
- Excellent copywriting skills.

- Needs to have a solid understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms, as well as how to stay up to date on them.
- Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop.
- Entry-level video editing skills or better.
- An exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details.
- Organization and time management.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity.
- Willing to perform an array of tasks both in and out of the office.
- Can take feedback to tasks and assignments positively and create better solutions.
- A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn how to use new programs.
- Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives.

Required education and experience:
- Previous experience managing a social brand
Preferred education and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years running client social media accounts
- 1-2 years Photoshop or Canva experience
- 1-2 years Adobe Photoshop Premiere Pro
- Experience having recurring meetings with a client
Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands - Must be able to either stand or sit at a desk for long periods of time.
Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.
Travel required - Significant out-of-state travel not anticipated.
Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
