Project Manager (Data Centre)

Overview

This position is for an experienced Project Manager specializing in data centre projects, responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in managing large-scale projects involving power, cooling, networking, and security systems within data centre environments.

Your role

• Lead and manage data centre projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, facilities, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

About you

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data centre projects.
• Prior UAE experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and security.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of data centre best practices and industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management principles.
