Job Description
HOW TO BECOME A WCPS SUBSTITUTE TEACHER:
STEP 1: Complete and submit the application in Frontline https://www.applitrack.com/waynecountyschools/Substitute Teachers - Recruiting & Hiring. Be sure to include a copy of your High School Diploma/GED/Two-Year or Four-Year Degree/Transcript and the Effective Teacher Certificate (Required) https://www.waynecc.edu/continuing-ed/effective-teacher-training/ (Completion of 24 Contact Hours) (exempt if you hold an NC Teaching License).
STEP 2: After you complete the substitute application, please email the HR Specialist at [email protected]
STEP 3: A link will be provided to you via email to complete all pre-employment and onboarding documents through Frontline-Central.
This is an electronic packet of forms consisting of pre-employment documents that are required to be completed.
1. Heath Form with TB Test
2. Background Check Information
3. Drug Test Information
4. Substitute Verification Form
5. Official Transcript/ High School Diploma/GED
6. Effective Teacher Training Certificate or Educator's License - (Completion of 24 Contact Hours) (exempt if you hold an NC Teaching License)
Once all pre-employment documents are electronically submitted, you will receive another electronic packet of forms consisting of payroll documents and onboarding information.

5. I-9 Form
6. Email Information
7. Copy of Driver's License & Social Security Card
8. Onboarding Information
9. Frontline - Absence Management Access
STEP 3: Once all documents have been completed, the Human Resources Department will provide you with a New Hire Confirmation, and your start date will be issued to you.
