Project Co-ordinator
Job Description
About the Role
Introduction –
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of digital product initiatives within Oxford University Press India. It is a meaningful role for professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of technology, education, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver customer‑focused digital outcomes.
For candidates already working in project coordination or delivery roles, this position represents a positive career move by providing exposure to medium‑scale digital projects, agile methodologies, and governance processes within a well‑established, purpose‑driven organisation. The role aligns closely with OUP’s commitment to quality, innovation, and impact in education.
The work is interesting and varied, involving close collaboration with editorial, product, engineering, QA, marketing, customer support, and external partners. You will support digital product development, enhancements, releases, and improvements, while building strong coordination, planning, and delivery expertise in a structured and collaborative environment.
Opportunity –
On a day‑to‑day basis, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of digital product initiatives. This includes creating and maintaining project documentation such as project schedules, RAID logs, meeting notes, progress reports, and supporting digital product roadmaps, sprints, and release cycles.
You will manage day‑to‑day coordination of tasks, dependencies, minutes of meetings, timelines, and resource tracking. The role involves facilitating meetings, sprint ceremonies, and requirement discussions, while ensuring clear communication between internal teams and external vendors.
You will track development progress, follow up on action items, support risk mitigation, and help resolve issues to ensure on‑time delivery. You will support backlog grooming, feature definition, and requirement documentation including user stories and acceptance criteria. The role also includes coordinating UAT planning, go‑live planning, execution activities, and assisting with NDA and contract creation and signing.
In addition, you will coordinate QA cycles, ensure adherence to compliance, NDA and data regulations, and track updates, patches, installers, release notes, and documentation to ensure timely releases. You will support customer experience by collecting and organising customer and training feedback and managing related timelines.
At a broader level, this role contributes to strong project governance, visibility, and delivery discipline across digital initiatives. You will track KPIs and project health metrics, prepare dashboards and reports, and support basic product data analysis to generate insights that inform decision‑making across teams and leadership.
