Job Description
TITLE: Biology Teacher - August through October 2026
Tri-Creek School Corporation is seeking a qualified Biology Teacher to fill a three-month leave position at the beginning of the 2026�2027 school year. The teacher will join our high school science department and contribute to a collaborative, student-centered learning environment.
Position: Biology Teacher (Grades 9�12)
Term: Approximately a three-month leave position
Reports to: Building Principal
Qualifications:
- Indiana teaching license in Life Science required.
- Consideration will also be given to applicants with a degree and/or experience in Biology or a related field who do not yet hold a teaching license. Tri-Creek will provide assistance with obtaining appropriate licensure.
- Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and instructional strategies.

- Ability to foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology courses to high school students.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards.
- Assess and monitor student learning through a variety of strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and contribute to department goals.
- Maintain classroom management that promotes respect, responsibility, and safety.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Classification & Compensation:
This is a certificated, full-time position subject to the rules, regulations, and policies of the Tri-Creek School Corporation and the negotiated agreement. Salary is based on credentials and starting teacher pay.

- This type of work involves sitting some of the time, but may involve walking or standing for moderate periods.
- Persons performing service in this position must be punctual in attendance each day to carry out the supervisory aspects of the job.
- Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business-related equipment, and handling and working with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
- Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
