Job Description

About the Role

When systems operate in demanding, high-stakes environments, reliability and safety are not negotiable. As our Staff RAMS Engineer, you will lead the engineering practices that ensure our autonomous ground systems are dependable, maintainable, and safe throughout their entire lifecycle — from early design through to operational deployment.

You will be a key voice across multidisciplinary teams, bringing together systems, hardware, software, and operations to identify risks early and build resilience into every layer of our platforms. Your work will directly support ARX Robotics' mission to deliver autonomous systems that armed forces and security organizations can trust in the field.

What You'll Build

  • A comprehensive RAMS engineering function across system development programs, setting the standard for how reliability and safety are embedded into our products
  • Rigorous reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety analyses — including FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis (FTA), and reliability modelling — that give engineering teams clear, actionable insight
  • Defined and traceable RAMS requirements across system architectures, maintained from concept through to delivery
  • Structured RAMS assessments that actively contribute to system design reviews — SRR, PDR, CDR — and shape design decisions before they become costly problems
  • Failure mode identification and mitigation strategies that reduce operational risk across complex, safety-critical systems
  • Data-driven reliability analyses using operational performance trends and failure data to continuously improve system behaviour
  • Maintenance strategies and operational support concepts that extend the operational life and readiness of deployed systems
  • Root cause investigations and corrective action frameworks that strengthen system integrity over time
  • A culture of RAMS excellence by mentoring engineers and contributing to the ongoing development of RAMS methodologies across the organization

What You Bring

  • A Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 8 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in RAMS, reliability engineering, or safety engineering
  • Deep expertise in FMEA/FMECA, FTA, reliability prediction, and risk analysis — applied to real, complex systems
  • Proven experience working with safety-critical or mission-critical systems where failure is not an option
  • Solid knowledge of relevant RAMS and safety standards and how to apply them in practice
  • Strong analytical thinking paired with practical problem-solving — you identify the risk and then drive the fix
  • A collaborative approach that allows you to work effectively across engineering disciplines and bring alignment to complex technical programs
  • The ability to communicate RAMS concepts clearly to both technical teams and broader program stakeholders

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.

What We Offer

Join a mission-driven European defense tech company at a pivotal stage of growth, where you can help shape meaningful technology, take ownership early, and grow with the business!

  • Competitive compensation package including a bonus opportunity
  • 27 vacation days to start, increasing with tenure up to 30 days
  • Employer-supported pension contribution
  • Learning & development support and team events budget
  • Employee discounts and flexible benefits budget via Probonio
  • Hybrid working setup depending on role and team needs
  • Structured salary bands, levelling framework, and bi-annual development conversations
  • Referral bonus program, dog-friendly office, and relocation support where applicable
