Reports to: Camp Administration / Program coordinator

Position Summary:

The Custodian / Sanitation Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children and staff at the Summer Camp 2026. This role supports daily camp operations by ensuring all indoor and outdoor spaces are clean, organized, and sanitary.

Position Description:

The Custodian will support the summer camp program by performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks, helping maintain a safe environment for children’s activities. The position plays an important role in ensuring health, safety, and comfort for all participants and staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in cleaning, janitorial, or maintenance work preferred

• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines

• Basic communication skills in English (Ukrainian)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must pass required background check (if applicable)

General Expectations:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of camp facilities

• Follow health and safety standards at all times

• Work cooperatively with camp staff and administration

• Be reliable, punctual, and responsible

• Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues promptly 

Essential Duties:

• Clean classrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces

• Empty trash and manage waste disposal

• Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed

• Assist with basic maintenance tasks when needed

• Report any damage, hazards, or repair needs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform physical cleaning and lifting tasks

• Attention to cleanliness, detail, and safety

• Ability to follow directions and routines

• Time management and reliability

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Understanding of basic sanitation and hygiene practices
