Senior Accounting Specialist

About the Job

 

In your role you will be part of the Local Finance Team and report to the Regional Accounting Officer of Latam Region of Allianz Technology SE which is the IT provider for all Allianz entities.

In your job you will support and perform the monthly closing activities, including liaison with key departments and our near and offshore teams as well as the central team in Munich. All accounting matters as asset accounting, provisions, capitalization as well as all closing related procedures and a solid foundation of IFRS and knowledge about local GAAP should be of your interest .

Responsibilities

 

Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.

Create preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual account closures according to relevant laws, local GAAP/IFRS

Test and provide functional support for relevant SAP modules (FI/CO/MM)

 

Support of closing in:

 

• Double entries bookings;
• Account Payables and Receivables bookings;
• Bank Account Reconciliations;
• Steering of the closing process;
• Planning and execution of the annual close;
• Asset capitalization management;
• Preparation of Management Reports;
• Coordination and collaboration with auditors.

 

Requirements

 

• Strong academic background (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Business Administration)
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting (IT Service Industry or audit firm a plus)
• Ability to work in international team in global set-up
• Strong communication and intercultural skills

Salary benchmark for the position: $6.800.000 COP (depending on the profile of the candidate)
