  • Remuneration of $99,938 - $110,271 plus super & leave loading

About the role

The role is responsible for delivering case management services for a portfolio of medium to high-risk workplace injuries and non-work-related health conditions in accordance with the workers compensation legislation and departmental policy. The role will provide early intervention and return to work services to support the early and safe return to the workplace following injury or illness focused on minimising the impact the school and business operations.

 About you

  • Strong knowledge of workers compensation and injury management legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring return to work plans and recovery strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external parties.
  • High-level organisational and report-writing abilities, including managing injury management databases and preparing accurate correspondence.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance and improving work health and safety performance within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
  • Current NSW Driver’s License desirable and willingness to travel.
  • Experience in a related field or relevant tertiary qualifications or training in return-to-work coordination.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
