Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced API (small molecules) pilot plant professional to execute chemical batches, execute purified/DI water system operations and documentation, for scale up of chemical processes in a cGMP and Safety compliant way.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand safe handling of hazardous chemicals
• Execute process chemistry/process engineering/kilo/pilot batches of API/Intermediate/pharmaceuticals
• Ensure adherence to cGMP, EHS, SOPs, and batch records
• Operate DCS and PLC-SCADA systems
• Oversee Purified/DI water systems including maintenance and monitoring
• Ensure equipment readiness, cleaning, and documentation compliance
• Co-ordinate maintenance and ensure availability of utilities and spares
• Maintain cleanroom compliance and contamination control
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
• Diploma / bachelor’s in chemical engineering or M.Sc. in organic Chemistry
• 5-10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical R&D and/or manufacturing
• Understanding laboratory and plant operations including GMP critical system operations (DI Water, Clean room, etc.) and Contained Operations (OEB4)
