Essential Functions:
- Schedules multidisciplinary testing procedures; monitor patient/staff flow and operation within assigned area.
- Assists in coordinating diagnostic tests.
- Performs basic cardiac testing procedures according to test requests such as EKG, and application of heart monitoring devices; and provide quality reports to ordering providers.
- Facilitates diagnostic outside interpretations.
- Provides timely and efficient billing and auditing processes.
- Facilitates electronic transfer of echocardiographic images to and from outside institutions.
- Provides clerical tasks associated with advanced and routine diagnostic testing procedures, including interpretation facilitation, distribution, verbal and written correspondence, documentation, and records management.
Education Requirement:
- High school graduate or equivalent, required.
- Post-Secondary school within a healthcare
related field preferred.
Certifications:
CPR certification, required.
Skills:
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).
- Ability to function with flexibility and adaptability to an ever changing and fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of equipment used with the specialty of Cardiology.
Experience:
1 year of healthcare related experience, preferred.
