Customs Coordinator

The Customs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating customs personnel to achieve the department’s goals and metrics in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with current regulations and both authority and client requirements. This role also involves developing practices and procedures to improve control of the department’s activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate import and export operations staff
  • Coordinate fixed assets personnel activities
  • Coordinate OEA-CTPAT personnel activities
  • Support foreign trade projects
  • Request and obtain government permits
  • Monitor compliance of digital records/files
  • Track OEA – CTPAT compliance
  • Monitor fixed assets compliance
  • Follow up on Annex 24 / 30 compliance
  • Audit import and export processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Trade, or a related field
  • Bilingual (English – Spanish)
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • 3 years of experience in the customs field
  • Valid visa
  • Knowledge of imports and exports
  • Knowledge of Annex 24 and Annex 30
  • Knowledge of foreign trade
  • Knowledge of fixed assets
  • Knowledge of CTPAT and OEA
  • Knowledge of audits
  • Knowledge of digital records/files
  • Knowledge of IMMEX and VAT/IEPS certification
  • Knowledge of Foreign Trade Law
  • Knowledge of Customs Law and General Foreign Trade Rules
  • Knowledge of Zoe system
  • Team management
