Part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed-term position until December 2027
Base salary will be in the range $83,776 - $93,121 + 17% super (HEW Level 5)

About This Opportunity
This is an engaging opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a nationally significant medical education program while making a meaningful impact in regional and rural Australia. Based at the Rural Clinical School Rockhampton Regional Clinical Unit, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting teaching, clinical placements and assessment across the Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program. Working within a collaborative, purpose-driven team and alongside academic clinicians, health partners and regional stakeholders, you will help shape high-quality learning experiences and strengthen local medical training pathways that create change together in Queensland communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and supporting teaching, learning and placement activities to ensure a seamless and student-centred MD experience across the clinical unit.
Administering end-to-end examination and assessment processes, maintaining accurate records and supporting student progress and compliance.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with academic staff, teaching hospitals, GP practices and regional partners to advance the Central Queensland Wide Bay Regional Medical Pathway.
Providing high-quality administrative and engagement support for student recruitment initiatives, Regional Training Hub activities and local research interests.
About You
A relevant degree or advanced diploma, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience, supporting effective administration in a complex environment.
A strong commitment to delivering high-quality service to students, clinicians and colleagues, with a calm and professional approach.
Demonstrated capability to interpret, apply and work confidently within policy, regulatory and procedural frameworks.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across academic, clinical and professional settings.
Proven capacity to prioritise competing demands, work both independently and collaboratively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills, coupled with adaptability and a proactive mindset.
