Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Rigging Supervisor to oversee lifting operations and ensure all rigging activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate all rigging and lifting activities on site, ensuring safe execution at all times.

· Plan lifting operations, including preparation of lifting plans and method statements.

· Ensure all lifting equipment and accessories are inspected, certified, and fit for use.

· Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site teams to execute lifting operations efficiently.

· Ensure compliance with approved procedures, project specifications, and HSE standards.

· Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper control measures are implemented for lifting activities.

· Monitor and enforce the use of proper rigging techniques and safe work practices.

· Liaise with HSE and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.

· Maintain records of lifting equipment, inspections, and certifications.

· Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to lifting operations.

· Identify and report any unsafe conditions or practices and take corrective actions.

· Ensure proper communication and signaling during lifting operations.

· Support project schedules by ensuring lifting activities are completed on time.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Construction Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

· Education: Diploma or relevant technical certification.

· Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in rigging and lifting operations within oil & gas, marine, or construction projects.

· Certification: Valid rigging/lifting supervisor certification (e.g., ADNOC approved or equivalent preferred).

· Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging gear, and load calculations.

· Familiarity with international lifting standards and safety regulations.

· Proven leadership and team coordination skills.

· Strong understanding of HSE requirements in lifting operations.

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

· Fluency in English (mandatory); Arabic is an advantage.
