Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT processes)
- Build and optimize data architectures, data models, data index etc.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., APIs, databases, EDL, streaming platforms)
- Ensure data quality, output reports are aligned upstream systems.
- Collaborate with system developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipeline performance and reliability
- Implement data security and compliance best practices
- Supports the Agile delivery squads when required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Great English communication skills: able to participate in regular meetings with global teams, understand key technical discussions, and share work progress clearly
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, node.js)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience in building or working with Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) architecture
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong learning ability and a proactive mindset, with a willingness to continuously develop data operations skills through team collaboration
- Good communication and understanding skills, and strong sense of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AKS /Ali Cloud)
- Experience with CI/CD on GitHub
- Basic understanding of AI development techniques or tools (e.g., prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding)
- Familiar with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau
- Knowledge of the financial industry, especially fund-related business is a plus
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes Container Orchestration is a plus.
