Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Designer to lead structural design activities and deliver accurate, high-quality engineering drawings and models for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and review detailed structural drawings including general arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and shop drawings.

· Develop and manage 2D and 3D structural models using AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent software.

· Review engineering calculations, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate design implementation.

· Coordinate with engineering, piping, E&I, and project teams to ensure design integration and constructability.

· Ensure all structural designs comply with applicable international codes, standards, and client specifications.

· Lead clash detection reviews and resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts.

· Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement and project execution activities.

· Review and approve design revisions, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and draftsmen.

· Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies on structural design matters.

· Support fabrication and site teams by resolving design-related technical issues.

· Ensure adherence to company quality standards and HSE requirements in all engineering activities.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

· Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or related field.

· Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of experience in structural design within marine, oil & gas, fabrication, or EPC projects.

· Strong expertise in structural steel design, fabrication drawings, and offshore/onshore structures.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and 3D modeling software.

· Strong understanding of international standards and codes related to structural engineering.

· Experience in clash detection, constructability reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination.

· Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.

· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in MS Office and engineering documentation systems.

· Fluency in English (mandatory).
