ZigZag is looking for a Product Manager to join our team!
As a Product Manager at Zai, you will lead the development of products and solutions that help our customers do what they do best. This is a global role. You will work with teams across multiple time zones to help Zai become a leader in financial services across every market we operate in.
You take a customer-first mindset to solving problems and don’t settle for “good enough”. Working closely with the Head of Product and Senior Product Managers, you will support Senior Product Managers in shaping the product roadmap, then drive initiatives through delivery. This role is weighted towards delivery, with growing involvement in discovery over time.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Strategy
Support senior product leaders in identifying and scoping opportunities across our products and the wider business.
Conduct discovery by gathering feedback from stakeholders and customers, alongside quantitative and qualitative data from across the business and the industry.
Develop business cases that articulate the opportunity, its value and impact, and the cost of pursuing it.
Support the Product Leaders in executing the product vision and strategy.
Roadmap & Planning
Support quarterly and annual roadmap planning, covering business and operational needs as well as technical debt, break-fix, customer requests, and backlog items.
Make and justify trade-offs across time, effort, and strategy to deliver the greatest value in the shortest time.
Monitor relevant scheme, regulatory, and payment-network compliance requirements, and ensure they are assessed, prioritised, and incorporated into the roadmap in a timely manner.
Delivery & Execution
Lead planning and project delivery, bringing opportunities from ideation to market on time and on budget.
Act as product owner within the scrum team, leading the development of technical products and features through agile ceremonies and a well-groomed, prioritised backlog.
Develop project plans, track task completion, and manage risks and issues through to successful delivery.
Maintain scalable knowledge-management practices using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
Stakeholders & Go-to-Market
Communicate widely and frequently with stakeholders on progress, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues as they arise.
Partner with teams across the business, engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure new products and features go to market successfully and are well supported.
Performance & Insight
Measure and manage the success of our products by regularly tracking key product metrics.
Use data and user behaviour to mature product performance and ensure the long-term success of the product.
Stay aware of the latest trends and technologies, both inside and outside of fintech.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Demonstrable 3+ years’ experience in a product role within financial services (payments, banking, or FX).
A track record of building products, features, or solutions at scale, managing complex technical products from idea to market.
Strong technical background with an understanding of technical systems and interfaces.
Experience with scrum and agile product delivery.
Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research into customer problems and market opportunities.
Experience measuring, managing, and maturing product performance through a variety of metrics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for precise articulation of customer problems.
Degree-level education in an analytical or design discipline.
Desirable
Knowledge of payment systems such as batch payments, B2B and B2B2C payments, cross-border remittances, alternative payments, and digital wallets.
Familiarity with modern UX/UI design principles and tools (e.g. Figma).
Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau) and process- mapping tools (e.g. Miro, Draw.io).
Exposure to A/B testing, feature flagging, and experimentation frameworks.
