High School Multilingual Learner Program Teacher

Lexington County School District One (Lexington, SC) seeks to hire multiple High School Multilingual Learner Program Teachers. Must have U.S. Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent. This position also requires a valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate specialization and fluency in English. Duties: (i) instruct English language learners in assigned high school grade level(s) (9-12) in academic and social skills to ensure that individual student needs, interests, and abilities are met; (ii) assist classroom teachers by modifying instructional tasks as appropriate and communicating required accommodations; (iii) develop an appropriate individualized learning plan with each high school student to include language goals for the year; (iv) assist in other school programs as assigned; and (v) perform other duties as assigned including tutoring high school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties.
