We’re looking for a Principal, Accounting to join our Luxembourg-based EMEA Accounting Policy team and help shape the future of our accounting organization. This is a leadership role where you’ll lead across the region, providing expert guidance on complex accounting matters in a fast-moving, international environment.
We’re seeking a hands-on accounting policy professional who thrives on ambiguity and solving complex technical challenges and wants to make a real difference in a high-growth setting. You’ll combine deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with a tech- and data-driven mindset. Key job responsibilities
• Research and apply US GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable reporting frameworks to unique, significant, or non-routine transactions across EMEA, ensuring high-quality documentation of accounting conclusions for complex, highly judgmental matters.
• Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and application guidance documents and support operational accounting teams in their application.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to enhance accounting research, streamline policy documentation, and drive innovation and year-over-year efficiency gains in policy processes.
• Lead and manage complex accounting policy projects in a fast-moving, international, high-growth environment with a focus on long-term scale and simplification.
• Develop and deliver organization-wide training initiatives on accounting policy matters and emerging standards, raising the bar on technical accounting capabilities.
• Collaborate globally and earn trust with internal Accounting, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Technology teams, including senior leaders, as well as external business partners and auditors, distilling diverse inputs into scalable solutions.
• Anticipate impact of external factors, including legal, financial, and regulatory changes, and work cross-functionally to incorporate in accounting policies and related solutions.

- Relevant professional experience in accounting, including active roles in accounting policy, technical accounting, or a related advisory field.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with proven ability to research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions for complex business transactions.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to turn accounting data into actionable insights.
- Experience in using AI tools for accounting research, policy development, and/or process automation.

- CPA or other professional accounting certification.
- Advisory experience at a Big Four accounting firm, working with Fortune 500 clients
- Hands-on experience with advanced finance technologies, AI-driven analytics, and process automation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Aptitude for influencing and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution.
