What You Will Do:
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety product lines, including competitive manufacturers’ product lines. Routine duties include ensuring operational integrity and compliance with safety standards.
How You Will Do It:
- Take ownership of operational outcomes by adhering to a structured inspection schedule and implementing safety and integrity guidelines.
- Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers or hard copy.
- Focus on critical aspects of work, removing obstacles where necessary, and ensuring all inspections are completed efficiently and on time.
- Retrieve, input, and archive inspection documents via laptop or other mobile devices.
- Perform minor repairs and programming adjustments with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and solving problems, and sharing insights candidly with team members.
- Provide technical training to junior inspectors and trainees.
- Foster collaboration and trust within the team by embracing diverse perspectives and working together to achieve shared goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
Required:
- CFAA Certified or 2+ years of documented experience in Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and multi-meter devices.
- Physical capability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 40 lbs, and work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
- Capability to obtain reliability security clearance in compliance with customer requirements.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to troubleshoot systems effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Preferred:
- Proficiency with PCs, including knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and iPhone apps.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25-36 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
