Overview We are seeking a Sr. Consultant – Operations, Administration to join our team. In this position, you’ll work closely with leadership as a trusted partner, helping to shape operational excellence, strengthen client relationships, and deliver exceptional service. You’ll join a team where your fresh perspectives and innovative ideas will be welcomed to enhance processes and elevate standards. How you'll make an impact Perform complex calculations and interpret plan documentation for defined benefit plans while ensuring compliance and accuracy in plan administration. Review historical processes and projects to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide consulting services to assigned client accounts of moderate to high complexity, assessing and prioritizing client needs to deliver timely and effective solutions. Build, expand, and solidify relationships with clients at all levels within their organizations. Collaborate with Sales to prepare and negotiate fee-based pricing and manage the transition of new clients post-sales. Take ownership of operational workflows, lead project teams to achieve milestones and objectives, and ensure timely project completion. Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of low to mid-level professionals while collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external clients across industries and sizes. Anticipate business challenges and regulatory issues, recommending process, product, or service improvements. Maintain availability to travel to client or team sites as necessary. About You Strong understanding of defined benefit plan administration, including calculations, plan documentation, compliance, and governance. Experience in defined contribution plan design, governance, compliance, and administration is a plus. Actuarial background with administrative experience is highly preferred. Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, providing direction, support, and alignment with organizational goals. Strong project management skills to ensure operational efficiency, team alignment, and successful delivery of measurable results. Use sound judgment in client interactions, anticipating needs, identifying new opportunities, and achieving billable hours goals. 7-10 years of experience in defined benefit plan administration or a related field, with 5+ years in professional services businesses, including direct people management. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school. Professional certification (e.g., Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, negotiation, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
