Title: Enterprise Events Account Executive - Sports Transportation

Reports to: Vice President of Sales, Events

Location: Remote

About the Role
Sporting Events represents one of CharterUP’s largest untapped growth opportunities within Enterprise Events. We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Enterprise Account Executive to develop and grow partnerships across the sporting events ecosystem. This role will focus on generating new business within mid-market and enterprise sporting events including tournaments, races, collegiate athletics, recurring annual events, and large-scale fan experiences.

This is not a transactional sales role. Success requires the ability to prospect into complex organizations, navigate long sales cycles, and build trusted relationships over time. The ideal candidate is a proactive enterprise seller who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building markets from scratch, and understands how to create momentum within relationship-driven industries.

You do not need prior charter transportation experience to succeed in this role. We are looking for strong enterprise sales talent with relevant vertical exposure, strong prospecting capability, and the ability to learn quickly.

What You’ll Do

Build Pipeline Within the Sporting Events Vertical

  • Prospect and develop relationships with decision-makers across sporting event organizations and related ecosystems
  • Identify and pursue opportunities across tournaments, races, collegiate athletics, golf events, fan experiences, and recurring sporting events
  • Build territory and account strategies focused on long-term relationship development

Own the Full Sales Cycle

  • Manage enterprise opportunities from prospecting through close
  • Navigate procurement processes, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder buying environments
  • Build and maintain relationships across operations, procurement, logistics, and executive stakeholders

Develop Vertical Expertise

  • Become deeply knowledgeable about the sporting events landscape and transportation needs within the industry
  • Partner closely with internal operations and account teams to develop commercially viable transportation solutions
  • Learn the operational side of large-scale transportation logistics over time

Expand Strategic Accounts

  • Identify opportunities for repeat annual business and long-term account growth
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers and event stakeholders
  • Position CharterUP as a strategic transportation partner within the sporting events ecosystem

Contribute to Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with leadership
  • Help shape how CharterUP expands within emerging event sub-verticals

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of enterprise or strategic sales experience
  • Experience selling into sporting events, hospitality, event services, event operations, sports partnerships, logistics, or related industries
  • Proven ability to prospect and build pipeline independently
  • Experience managing long, relationship-driven sales cycles
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex buying environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in fast-moving, evolving organizations
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn operational aspects of the business
  • Strong preference for experience in the transportation/transit/mobility industry

Recruiting Process

  • Step 1 - Video call: Talent Acquisition interview
  • Step 2 - Video call: Hiring Manager interview
  • Step 3 - Sales Presentation
  • Step 4 - Offer & reference check
  • Welcome aboard!
