Job Description
Hiring an Analyst, Journeyman to support a U.S. Navy customer. This program provides readiness and sustainment support to improve operational availability and mission effectiveness while controlling cost and optimizing constrained resources. Uses collaborative, data-driven operating models that include end-to-end readiness ecosystems (operations, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, manpower/training, and financial management). AI-enabled approaches are a desired element of the solution to improve the speed, scale, and consistency of analysis and decision support. The work includes producing readiness assessments and decision-support products; establishing and maintaining consistent readiness metrics and reporting; and integrating data from multiple authoritative and legacy sources to deliver actionable analytics and dashboards. Advanced analytics and, where appropriate, AI/ML techniques (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, natural language processing of maintenance narratives) are used to identify readiness drivers and constraints, improve predictive analytics, and inform trade-space decisions that balance near-term readiness with longer-term capability objectives, including Fleet legacy platform/systems sustainment and modernization transitions.
Location: Norfolk, Virginia
The Analyst, Journeyman will be responsible for analyzing business or operating procedures to devise the most efficient method of accomplishing the work. In addition, the selected candidate will:
- Plans the study of work problems and procedures, gathers and analyzes data, organizes and documents findings of studies, and prepares recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
- Collates information into meaningful reports and presentation material. Performs data management of database tables, data elements, reports, and other entities contained in reporting systems.
- Analyzes project requirements including program scheduling, critical path analyses and project support/resource requirement determination. Fully participates in impact studies, cost/benefit analyses, dependency models, and employs appropriate project tracking methodologies.
- Capable of conducting root-cause, corrective action analysis. Possess a working knowledge of statistics and is able to assess correlation. Able to produce visualizations to communicate findings through the use of tables and charts.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required. Allowable substitution: Six years of additional related work experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years of direct experience
- Experience as a Commissioned Officer, senior enlisted or mid-level DoW government (E7-O4, GS 11-13) may be considered favorably.
- Proficient with one of the following, Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI, and familiar enough to produce basic charts in the others. Proficiency in Python or R is a highly favorable trait for all positions.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
