Duties and Responsibilities Unless otherwise specified, the Estimator is responsible for all daily internal collision center related interactions. The responsibility includes, but is not limited to, a dedication to the company’s mission statement, to company profitability and 100% customer satisfaction. Perform collision damage estimates on emergency vehicles in a timely manner utilizing manufacturer's database for research and pricing via Adjustrite estimating software Ensure all parts are ordered, tracked, received, and dispatched to the technician to expedite repair process Enforce all company policies as defined in the SMEG Company Handbook Direct customer, service staff and sales staff interaction Maintain clean and safe facilities including offices Always maintain a neat and professional personal appearance  Understanding of business financials and goals Follow company processes and procedures as defined in the SMEG operations manual  Participate in morning meetings with collision staff to plan the day, including providing accurate updates regarding vehicles in process and estimates in process Follow up during and after vehicle is delivered to ensure customers are well informed and satisfied Prepare work orders and estimates, quote repairs to customers, coordinate workflow within shop Inventory control, parts pricing and procurement, stock orders, data entry of parts and labor services Substitute duties of the Assistant Collision Center Manager position in his/her absence Maintain accurate and legible company designed reports and paperwork Notice and report potential problem areas to management before they arise (FYI)  Maintain a successful working relationship with Pierce Manufacturing personnel Enforce policies and procedures as defined in the Pierce Manufacturing operations manual  Supervisory Responsibilities As directed by Collision Center Manager Qualifications Experience in Collision repair Proven track record of success Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Exceptional organizational methods Possess exceptional leadership and motivational skills Dedication to customer service and business success Ability to engage in and maintain positive relationships with employees and customers  Computer skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook Email, Microsoft Word & Excel programs as well with any company provided software Must demonstrate the ability to review performance goals with all employees designated within his/her facility and instruct on areas in need of improvement Maintain, conduct and recorded safety training as required by the company Must possess a valid driver's license Revenue and Profits The Estimator clearly understands that as a condition of his/her employment it is his/her responsibility to utilize and adhere to all company processes and procedures as well as utilize all best efforts in generating revenue for the company. All pricing of parts and services will be defined in a method of computation outlined by the business owner/operator. The Estimator is to discuss the reason for any substantial discounting for services or parts with the Collision Center Manager or business owner/operator prior to making a final decision. In all cases the Estimator should immediately inform the Collision Center Manager of any inability to perform in revenue generation, and to additionally provide the reasoning for such inability. The Estimator recognizes that in good part, his/her performance will be evaluated by his/her ability to reach and maintain gross revenue, gross profit and customer service goals set forth by the business owner/operator. Training Programs and Regular Business Meetings With appropriate notification, the Estimator agrees to attend and participate in all career specific seminars, training courses, industry related certification programs and internal company training and or meetings recommended or scheduled by the business owner/operator.           General Conduct It is the responsibility of the Estimator to always conduct him/herself in a professional manner. This includes the agreement not to use any foul or objectionable language towards any customer, vendor, co-worker, or employee. To refrain from any negative comments about any customer, vendor, competitor, or employee. As an Estimator, you are expected to maintain composure with all customers, vendors, and employees at all times and to carry out all defined duties in a professional manner. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED High school diploma or equivalent 3 to 5 Plus years with experience in collision repair industry Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk over 50% of the work time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to climb on ladder trucks and/or firetrucks as necessary to evaluate all damage related to the loss.
