
District Sales Lead

As part of our Commercial Team, the District Sales Lead (DSL) supports the Regional Sale Manager (RSM) in maintaining premium merchandising standards on-shelf, store team education and relationship development. On a daily basis you will gather insights from retail/field/consumers that will inform Oishii sales/marketing tactics, and will ensure consistent inventory is maintained in store.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- 90% Field-Based: Primarily in-store with an assigned store group; travel across the region as business needs require
- 10% Administrative: Order and inventory oversight per store, demo planning and preparation in coordination with the RSM and HQ, reporting field and consumer insights internally, and supporting the RSM in maintaining a centralized calendar of demo and field activity for visibility and budgeting purposes
- Maintain consistent inventory levels across all assigned stores, providing guidance to store teams on product orders (POs) and ensuring each location submits POs on a weekly basis; monitor and minimize shrink (unsold product) to below 10% across the district
- Uphold Oishii merchandising standards on-shelf, as defined by RSM and Oishii leadership, through weekly visits to each store in the district
- Complete post-visit reports via GoSpotCheck (mobile reporting platform) after each store visit; partner with the RSM to develop solutions for market challenges and act on identified opportunities
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at each store location, including produce team members and other department leads, to drive brand awareness and excitement through seeding, sampling, in-store employee events, and product trainings
- Support the RSM in identifying and executing field activations aligned with the company's marketing agenda
- Assist the RSM with business development initiatives, including lead identification, distributor ride-alongs, and sample drops with prospective customers

What we look for in a District Sales Associate:
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Reliable personal transportation required; some trips may involve up to 3+ hours of driving each way
- Must reside within the region, preferably in a central location
- Prior experience in field sales, brand ambassador, merchandising, or retail service roles preferred
- Comfortable with a non-traditional work schedule and highly self-sufficient in managing and prioritizing both field and administrative responsibilities
- Willing to travel to other regions outside of your home base to support retail locations, including overnight trips; regional travel may account for up to 50% of monthly field time
- Outgoing, high-energy, and personable; you genuinely enjoy meeting new people and take pride in the success of your retail partners
- A self-described foodie with a passion for the future of agriculture and technology
- An excellent communicator who is responsive, proactive, and solutions-oriented
