Job Purpose:
The AERS SQMA Specialist supports the Dynamic Aviation Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance Manager on the AERS Program by performing inspections, verifying conformity of parts and materials, supporting safety programs, and ensuring compliance with the AERS Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), customer requirements, and applicable procedures. This role provides flexible support across quality assurance, supplier quality, safety, and documentation/compliance control.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Inspections
• Perform receiving, preliminary, in‑process, and final inspections in accordance with AERS RSQCM procedures and approved technical data.
• Verify conformity of all incoming articles, materials, and components prior to use, including documentation, part number, condition, traceability, and contract requirements.
• Ensure proper identification and handling of parts using proper tags and quarantine procedures.
• Document discrepancies using DA forms and Quality Management System (Q-Pulse) and coordinate corrective actions as required.
• Support Line Maintenance 1 and Line Maintenance 2 inspection requirements defined under the AERS contract.
Supplier Quality & Receiving Compliance
• Conduct receiving inspections on AERS-procured parts, hardware, materials, and outsourced components.
• Validate required documentation including Certificates of Conformance, release forms, traceability documents, batch/lot information, and shelf-life control.
• Identify and document receiving nonconformances and assist in correction or escalation.
• Support review and maintenance of the AERS Approved Contract Maintenance Vendor List.
• Assist in identifying suspected unapproved or counterfeit parts and ensuring proper control and reporting.
Safety & Tool/FOD Compliance
• Support AERS safety procedures including FOD prevention, tool control, and lost tool reporting.
• Reinforce safe maintenance practices and proper use of approved, current technical data.
Documentation, Records & Compliance
• Monitor accurate work orders, task cards, discrepancy forms, inspection records, and technical data packages in accordance with AERS RSQCM recordkeeping requirements.
• Ensure correct use and control of AERS program forms.
• Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and quality-system checks.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of documentation prior to work order closure and assist with return‑to‑service documentation as required.
Quality System & Corrective Actions
• Support initiation and processing of nonconformance reports and corrective action requests.
• Provide information for root-cause analysis, trend tracking, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist with follow-up actions required to sustain compliance with AERS program procedures.
Skills/Qualifications:
Required
• Experience in aircraft maintenance, quality assurance, and inspection functions.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical data, maintenance manuals, and inspection standards.
• Understanding of part traceability, conformity, and documentation requirements.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow structured compliance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English.
Preferred
• Experience supporting military aviation programs.
• Receiving inspection or supplier quality experience.
• Experience with ERP/QMS systems used in the AERS program (CAMP, Q‑Pulse, SharePoint).
• Aviation maintenance license (FAA A&P, EASA, or GCAA) beneficial but not required unless needed for specific inspector duties.
