Job Description

  • Must have the ability to apply coats of plaster or stucco to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using trowels, brushes, or spray guns.

  • Must be able to mix mortar and plaster to desired consistency or direct workers who perform mixing.

  • Must be able to create decorative textures in finish coat, using brushes or trowels.

  • Have the ability to cover the outer wall with reinforcing mesh, and a base coat.

  • Must have experience with curing freshly plastered/stucco surfaces.

  • Must understand the importance of properly cleaning and preparing surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials.

  • Must understand how to properly achieve adhesion between each coat of plaster/stucco.

  • Must have the ability to apply weatherproof, decorative coverings to exterior surfaces of buildings, such as by troweling or spraying on coats of stucco.

  • Install guide wires on exterior surfaces of buildings to indicate thickness of plaster or stucco and nail wire mesh, lath, or similar materials to the outside surface to hold stucco in place.

  • Must understand the importance of protecting structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage.

  • Will be responsible for daily housekeeping for the work area and proper cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment.

  • Must be able to mix mortar to desired consistency or direct workers who perform mixing.

  • Must be able to erect scaffolding in accordance with OSHA / EM-385 standards.

  • Other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma is preferred; however, a combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.

  • Minimum of 3-years of experience working as a Mason preferably on DoD or DoS construction projects.

  • Must be able to read and understanding drawings and specifications.

  • Must be a certified scaffolding erector. Training will be provided if not currently certified.

  • Must be willing to deploy to project sites worldwide to complete construction projects.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

  • Must be able to lift tools, materials, equipment in excess of 50lbs.

  • Must be able to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights.

  • Wear personal protective equipment as required by OSHA and EM-385.
