Position Summary:
d&b audiotechnik Corporation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the US Sales Team as the Regional Manager for the Northeast Region (CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VT). In close collaboration with the regional Education and Application Support Specialist and various other functions, the Regional Manager will support the distribution network and customer base in all sales-related matters.
Essential functions and work duties:
- Promote the d&b brand, technology, and company passion in the assigned region and beyond.
- Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets within the assigned region.
- Represent d&b at trade shows and other industry events.
- Work and educate the distribution network to prospect and establish key sales opportunities.
- Manage the sales process and customer relationship from initial inquiry to delivery/commissioning and beyond.
- Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping of all sales-related activities in the company’s CRM.
- Partner closely with the assigned EAS Regional Support Specialist to ensure customer’s technical requirements are evaluated, met, and exceeded.
- Facilitate collaboration between the company, distribution network, and clients to ensure seamless communication and maintain project momentum.
- Work closely with Customer Service post-sale to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on-time, and to resolve any order-related issues promptly.
- Periodically attend d&b workshops, webinars, and other training to enhance product expertise and improve sales effectiveness.
- Participate in regular Sales Team meetings to coordinate and align strategies and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest technological developments in the pro-audio industry and changes in the competitive environment.
- Demonstrate understanding of standard business practices related to sales operation processes and systems (project funnel management, sales cycles, reporting/forecasting), including use of business intelligence tools.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Skills and abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to communicate clearly with individuals of varying levels of technical expertise.
- Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
- General knowledge of professional audio technology is required. Ability to set up and perform product demonstrations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of pro-audio market.
- Exceptional focus on customer satisfaction and service.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and/or Mac equivalent.
- Experience with Salesforce a plus.
- Ability for frequent travel within assigned sales region, up to 50% of the time. Occasional domestic travel out-of-region and limited international travel is required.
Education and experience:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
- Over five years of experience in sales for a pro-audio manufacturer.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, Exempt position. Domestic and international travel is required, up to 50% of the time. Evening and weekend work may also be necessary based on business needs.
