The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.

 

Operates both Do-All and Femco saws to trim and cut samples. Operates forklift to stage, load, and move honeycomb blocks within and outside of B3.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.           

Responsibilities:

• Assists receiving Honeycomb blocks from B2.  Inspects material for damage and verifies that density/dimensions conform to the work order.
• Transports honeycomb blocks material where needed.
• Cuts samples and trim honeycomb blocks per customer requirements using both Do-All and Femco saws.
• Apply and practice 5S concept to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Moves resin totes to B2 storage area.
• Record labor transactions in SAP.
• Perform scheduled PM’s as prescribed.
• Assigned as a Quality Delegate to inspect in-process and final WIP in lieu of QA.
• Other duties may be assigned dependent on TGC business environment.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Forklift Certification, with a valid California Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand, and communicate the company’s operating procedures and policies.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.
• Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays.
