The ideal candidate will take technical ownership of integration development, design scalable and secure integration pipelines, and drive the evolution of our middleware ecosystem. This role requires strong expertise in NiFi development, API integrations, authentication mechanisms, and distributed system design, along with the ability to lead and mentor teams.

What will your job look like?

  • Lead the development and enhancement of NiFi-based integration pipelines
  • Drive the migration strategy from BMC TSO to NiFi or other modern integration platforms
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient integrations
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams and ITSM stakeholders to enable auto-resolution workflows
  • Own integration design standards, best practices, and governance
  • Mentor and guide team members in integration architecture and development

Must-Have Technical Qualifications

  1. Apache NiFi Expertise (Minimum 4+ Years)
    Extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and managing complex data flows using Apache NiFi in production-grade environments.
  2. Enterprise Integration Architecture
    Strong understanding of integration patterns, including API-based integrations, event-driven architectures, message routing, and distributed system design.
  3. API Development & Integration
    Proven experience working with REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and external system integrations, including error handling, retries, and orchestration logic.
  4. Authentication & Security Mechanisms
    Deep knowledge of enterprise-grade security patterns including OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, mTLS, and API key-based authentication.
  5. Complex Data Flow & Transformation Handling
    Strong expertise in handling and transforming data formats such as JSON, XML, and structured payloads across multiple systems.
  6. Middleware & ITSM Integrations
    Experience integrating ITSM platforms with external customer systems, internal tools, and automation frameworks, including ticket lifecycle orchestration.
  7. Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
    Strong analytical skills to debug issues across multi-layered integrations involving middleware, APIs, AI engines, and backend services.
  8. Leadership & Ownership
    Ability to take end-to-end ownership of integration components, lead design discussions, mentor team members, and drive best practices in integration development.

    Nice-to-Have Technical Qualifications
  1. BMC TSO Exposure & Migration Experience
    Familiarity with BMC TrueSight Orchestration and experience in migration or modernization of legacy middleware systems.
  2. AI/ML Integration Exposure
    Experience integrating with AI/ML systems, particularly auto-resolution engines or decision automation workflows.
  3. Performance Optimization & Scalability
    Experience in designing high-throughput, scalable integration pipelines and optimizing performance for large-scale data flows.
  4. CI/CD & DevOps Integration
    Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for automated deployment and version control of integration workflows.
