Advanced Bending Technologies is looking for a Coater Helper to join our Paint department in Calgary, Alberta.

The Role:

The Coater Helper works as part of a supportive, team‑oriented environment, assisting with sandblasting and coating processes and contributing to overall shop cleanliness and upkeep.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders and prepare, paint, and coat product 
  • Assist the Coater with applying rubber and pyroxylin coatings 
  • Handle raw materials and finished products; clean coating materials and equipment 
  • Perform production bending once setup is complete 
  • Complete general shop duties, including torch cutting, saw cutting, washing, sand filling, and related tasks 
  • Measure, inspect, label, and package in‑process and finished products 
  • Assist with the operation and basic maintenance of coating equipment 
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to operate and clean the range 
  • Follow the Quality Management System (QMS) and complete all required quality records


What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Forklift certification considered an asset 
  • Paint and coating experience considered an asset 
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including production, receiving, shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformances, corrective and preventive actions, document control, and record control 
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
