Recreation Camp Counselor (Summer Seasonal)

Primary Responsibilities   Safe check in and out of campers every day. Assist children to get ready for activities  Provide a safe and fun environment for the campers. Ensure rules are adhered to. Answer questions or concerns from parents regarding the camps. Play games with the campers indoors and outdoors. Encourage campers to engage in sports and recreation activities to their best abilities.  Be on time for shift and ensure you are prepared for the day’s activities.  Required Qualifications Minimum Grade 12 Responsible and patient person who enjoys working with children. Physically active and enjoys playing sports, including basketball and soccer. Experience working with children would be an asset. Previous experience working as a camp counselor would be an asset. Ability to develop children’s love for sports. Current First Aid and CPR. Safety Training (WHMIS)  Compensation   The hourly rate for this position is $17.60 per hour
