As a HDD Superintendent, your role is to lead and oversee horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and crossing activities for pipeline and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of HDD works in accordance with project specifications, procedures, and industry standards.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong hands-on HDD construction experience, solid technical understanding of pipeline crossing methods, and the ability to lead site execution safely while ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.

What you’ll do
We are looking for a HDD Superintendent to join our team in Rayong office
The role responsibilities include:
· Supervise HDD construction activities including site preparation, equipment setup, drilling, reaming, and pullback operations
· Manage bored crossing and pipe jacking works, including launch and receiving pit construction and pipe installation activities
· Ensure proper execution of pipeline installation activities related to HDD crossings, including pipe string preparation and alignment
· Monitor and verify testing activities such as hydrostatic testing and current drainage testing for pipeline systems
· Oversee coating activities, including field joint coating applications and inspection of coating integrity
· Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure work is carried out safely and in compliance with project specifications
· Ensure construction activities (trenching, pipe lowering, backfilling, and reinstatement) meet project requirements and quality standards
· Supervise civil works related to HDD and pipeline systems, including foundations, pits, concrete works, and structural installations
· Monitor site progress, manpower, and equipment, and report on daily construction activities
· Promote and enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements across all HDD activities
What you’ll have
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
· Technical background in construction, civil, or mechanical discipline
· Extensive experience in HDD, pipeline, and crossing construction within oil & gas or infrastructure projects
· Strong knowledge of HDD methods, including drilling, reaming, pullback, and frac-out control
· Experience supervising bored crossing, pipe jacking, and underground installation works
· Familiarity with pipeline construction activities such as trenching, welding, coating, hydrotesting, and reinstatement
· Experience with coating inspection, current drainage testing, and QA/QC processes
· Strong leadership and site management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a site-based, multidisciplinary environment.
· Given the necessity of interacting with Thai-speaking clients, Thai language is essential.
