Unit Clerk - Full Time - Adult ICU (Night Shift)

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Work Shift: 7pm-7am

Job Summary:

Provides support services to nursing staff.   Job responsibilities include clerical duties such as maintaining unit stats, physician order entry, phone management.    May obtain initial patient information to expedite nursing care.  Communicates with hospital departments and physician office staff to assist in improving patient throughput. 

 
Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent required. Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills required.  Must have typing and computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and be able to perform detail-oriented tasks. Ideal candidate can prioritize and organize time with little delegation from nursing staff.  Must be a self-starter.

Physical Demands:
Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.  Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

Occasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, stooping, reaching
