Role Summary
1.- An Analyst Tax professional mainly provides support with the tax compliance and tax reporting activities of the companies of the Magna Group located in Mexico.
2.- An Analyst Tax professional is a recognized individual expert in the matter, with experience typically obtained through specialized work as well as with advanced and continuous education.
Key Responsibilities
1.- Review and prepare annual income tax returns (including all the related tax calculations such as inflation adjustment, tax depreciation, book-to-tax reconciliation, etc.).
2.- To calculate deferred tax provisions.
3.- To provide initial tax guidance to the Divisions of the Group with regard to business transactions, notifications, statements, and official information requests that need to be responded filed with the tax authorities.
4.- To analyze the tax implications and effects of international transactions made by Mexican companies.
5.- To review the calculation of the division's federal monthly income tax installments.
6.- To be self-updated with tax reform and trends.
7.- To maintain records of relevant tax accounts (e.g., CUCA, CUFIN, CUFIN-RE, the tax value of the shares, etc.).
8.- To support activities related to transfer pricing studies.
9.- To assist in the planning and implementation of tax strategies and restructuring.
10. To provide initial VAT guidance (only in some instances and upon request).
Key Qualifications/Requirements
1.- Required: Professional Degree in Accounting (CPA).
2.- Desirable and useful: Master's Degree in Taxes.
3.- Required: Bilingual (most fluent in English).
4.- Required: Certified Public Accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years of tax experience in a Big-4, multinational company, or well-known local accounting firm (at a supervisor level).
5.- Desired: General knowledge of other tax and legal regulations.
6.- Required: Fully skilled with e-tools (e.g., Excel).
7.- Required: To have a positive attitude and be willing to work during "busy seasons" after regular office hours.
