UNCOMN is seeking multiple Data Stewards (JECC) to: 
  • Define, maintain, and document authoritative data definitions, business rules, metadata standards, and approved data sources.
  • Design and document logical and physical data architectures supporting multiple systems and mission domains.
  • Define and maintain data models, integration patterns, interface contracts, APIs, schemas, and message formats.
  • Apply and validate data handling practices in alignment with security, classification, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Validate data readiness and usability for reporting, analytics, operational planning, and mission execution.
  • Serve as the primary stewardship point of contact for assigned data domains.
  • Serve as the authoritative voice on data meaning, fitness-for-use, trustworthiness, and operational applicability.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, integrators, and stakeholders to translate mission and operational needs into effective data and architectural solutions.
  • Advise leadership on data risks, governance considerations, quality impacts, and operational tradeoffs.
  • Participate in the resolution of cross-domain data disputes, definition conflicts, and data consistency issues.
  • Define, validate, and maintain authoritative operational data elements to ensure consistency and shared understanding across planning, execution, assessment, and reporting functions.
  • Conduct routine data quality reviews and coordinate corrective actions with system owners, engineers, and data integration teams to ensure data remains accurate, timely, complete, and mission relevant.
  • Oversee operational data flows across mission areas, identifying gaps, redundancies, and risks impacting situational awareness, operational reporting, or decision-making.
  • Support alignment of operational processes with enterprise data standards, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements while maintaining mission effectiveness.
  • Provide operational context and subject matter expertise to engineering, integration, and analytics teams to ensure technical solutions align with real-world operational requirements.
  • Enable operational reporting, dashboards, analytics, and decision-support capabilities by ensuring data is structured, documented, governed, and accessible.
  • Support operational planning activities, exercises, assessments, after-action reviews, and mission support activities through authoritative and reliable data management.
  • Assist with audits, leadership inquiries, operational reporting requests, and data-related taskings by providing accurate, defensible data and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate across enterprise organizations, mission partners, and operational teams to translate operational requirements into integrated and authoritative data solutions.

Requirements
  • Active, fully adjudicated Secret level clearance, granted by the U.S. Government.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or operational data governance, stewardship, metadata management, and data quality practices.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, authoritative data source management, and experience defining data models, business rules, metadata standards, and data definitions.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, integration concepts, APIs, schemas, and interface standards.
  • Experience supporting operational reporting, analytics, or mission-focused data environments, and resolving data quality, consistency, governance, and interoperability issues.
  • Familiarity with security, classification, compliance, and data handling requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical, operational, and leadership teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently in ambiguous environments, with experience working with business stakeholders and willingness to obtain required certifications
  • Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs. 
Preferred
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal operational environments and mission command / C2 data contexts.
  • Familiarity with operational planning, readiness, and enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Experience supporting data integration, reporting, dashboards, decision-support tools, and audit/compliance activities.

Pay Range: $78,000 - $98,000 per hour
