Description

Priory Beacon House is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team on a casual flexible basis working as part of a team to engage with and support our Residential Addiction's care service. 

Within this role you will be helping our clients to rediscover life beyond addiction, Beacon House is a new location as part of our therapy-led residential programme for people seeking meaningful, sustainable recovery from addiction and related behaviours.


What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals affected by substance misuse, helping them work towards recovery goals and greater independence. 
  •  Build positive, professional relationships with service users, offering encouragement, guidance, and person-centred support. 
  •  Assist clients in accessing healthcare, housing, benefits, education, training, and other community resources to promote wellbeing and social inclusion. 
  •  Maintain accurate records, complete support plans and risk assessments, and contribute to safeguarding and health & safety procedures. 
  •  Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and family members where appropriate to ensure coordinated support and positive outcomes for service users.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

Candidates should have prior experience working in a healthcare, social care, or addiction support setting, ideally with individuals facing substance misuse challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work empathetically and maintain professional boundaries. Relevant qualifications in health and social care or addiction support are preferred but not always mandatory. Candidates must be reliable, able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and have a genuine commitment to supporting clients through their recovery journey.
