Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for leading the execution standards, cross channel consistency and delivery quality of work across channels within the Creative Services team, including leading the team responsible for executing that work. This role requires deep expertise in both digital and video production (web, email, video, social, SEO) to ensure work is executed to platform best practices, meets quality standards, and delivers a cohesive customer experience within budget expectations. Working closely with creative execution, marketing, agencies, and technical teams, this role sets production priorities, removes obstacles, and oversees the coordination and management of projects to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Production Leadership & Oversight
Leads development of production and operational strategies that support and scale creative execution goals set by Creative Execution leadership and align with brand and audience goals
Sets and enforces delivery and execution standards for video and digital work, including quality, readiness, and completeness at final delivery
Project & Portfolio Oversight
Manage end-to-end production for projects across channels (e.g., web, email, social, and video), from intake through delivery, ensuring scope, quality, and stakeholder alignment
Develop and maintain production schedules; monitor progress and adjust as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards
Monitor progress across workstreams and proactively adjust to mitigate risk.
Budget & Financial Stewardship
Manage budgets for the entire Creative Services team, ensuring financial stewardship, forecasting, and accountability across workstreams
Monitor and track expenses, providing reporting and ensuring financial accountability
Accountable for delivery‑phase financial performance across video and digital projects, ensuring consolidated visibility and vendor cost accountability.
Agency & Partner Management
Serve as point of contact for external partners, ensuring they meet project timelines, budget requirements, and quality expectations
Serve as senior point of contact for external agencies and vendors
Provide escalation support and strategic guidance for complex production challenges
Production Expertise & Innovation
Serve as an in-house expert on digital and video production requirements, technical specifications, and delivery standards; translate requirements into clear direction for creative and technical partners
Manage multiple end-to-end projects, varying in complexity and scope, simultaneously
May be asked to be on set for in-house (owned) shoots, including working on set in Madison as needed; not required to be on set for external (agency) shoots. For in-house shoots, provides audio and/or video production support.
Drive innovation and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in production, project delivery, and creative operations
Translate technical and platform requirements into guidance for Producers, creatives, and partners.
Drive adoption of best practices and continuous improvement across production operations.
Team Leadership & Development
Ensure Producers are equipped to partner effectively with Creative Execution Leads, reinforcing clear ownership between creative execution and production delivery.
Provide mentorship and coaching to Producers, supporting skill development and consistent ways of working
Completes and leverages departmental best practices training

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of experience in an in-house agency or digital creative agency, producing cross-channel work including video/multimedia
Experience in prior people leadership preferred
Demonstrated expertise in web, email, social, and video best practices
Strong understanding of creative production workflows, project management practices, and cross-functional collaboration
Experience creating and managing a multimillion-dollar budget
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to travel to and work on set in Madison for in-house (owned) shoots, as needed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $156,300.00
